Animal Wound Care

Medical grade Manuka honey delivers potent antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing properties, while a 100% wool secondary dressing maintains ideal moisture balance and physical protection.

Contents:

  • 1x 100% Scoured Wool bandage 500 x 150mm
  • 1x 125g Certified organic medical grade manuka honey
  • 2 x Applicator sticks

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Ensure wound bed is clean and not bleeding before honey application. (Avoid antiseptics that may inactivate honeys enzymes eg. iodine or chlorhexidine.)
  2. Apply Medical Grade Manuka Honey. 1-2 mm continuous layer evenly over entire wound surface using spatula or gloved hand. If honey is solid, stir until soft.
  3. Place wool pad directly over honey layer
  4. Bandage: Secure the dressing with sterile conforming wrap, ensure even pressure. (Avoid excessive tension that could impair circulation.)

Important: Seek veterinary review if swelling, heat, odour, purulent discharge or increased lameness occur – these may indicate secondary infection.
